Happy 5th Birthday little man!

It's Super-Birthday boy!!

Our gorgeous little man, Delsin, turned FIVE (ACK) yesterday and he had a great day! He has just crawled out of bed, at 9:45, so he obviously needed to recharge the batteries after all the excitement! It was a school day for him so we started early to get pressies done before heading off to classes and then we did pizza and cake for birthday supper! Tim's Mom Marilynn and her partner Len were able to join us after driving across the country in their huge bus motorhome! My folks were able to do a video chat so it was like they were here as they did our traditional family singing of "Happy Birthday"! Ain't technology grand?? It's very exciting to be five and Del had a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday to our gorgeous boy, you fill our hearts with joy and melt us with your gorgeous chocolate brown eyes! We can't believe how fast you are growing up and we are glad you are still our little cuddle-bucket...although sleeping in your own bed more often would be a really great idea **hint hint**. :o) We love you little man, lots of love, hugs and birthday smooches from Mom, Dad, Connor, Cameron, Maeghan, Oscar, Schat, Bug, Grandma, Grandpa, Nana & Len. XOXO

Giving Spongebob some love!
It's GORDON...woo hoo!

You get to be "helper of the day" on your birthday so he got to lead the line into school!

Happy Birthday to....ME! :o)

"A smile is the light in your window that tells others that there is a caring, sharing person inside."

~ Denis Waitley ~

Isn't that a lovely quote? It was sent to me in an automated e-card from a newsletter I subscribe to and it made me, well, smile. :o) Wouldn't the world be a nicer place if everyone smiled a bit more? I'm off to Toronto with Tim for two nights this week so that we can celebrate our anniversary together while he fulfills his work commitments. One thing that always makes me smirk is walking around big cities like Toronto and just watching the people go by rushing off to something or somewhere and all of them with a big scowl on their faces! I wonder if people even realize how miserable they look? Probably not. Smile people, it doesn't hurt and it just might make you or someone else feel good!

I enjoyed a wonderful birthday yesterday with my loving family. I was spoiled with pressies, included a new snow shovel from my smart-ass parents, and enjoyed my favourite meal of all time: fresh cooked lobster **drool** followed by birthday cake made and decorated by Timmy. I'm really lucky that calories don't count on birthdays **urgh**. I'm one lucky lady to be loved by so many and to love them right back. Life is good.

Happy 140th Birthday Canada!

How lovely to be back in our "homeland" for our national day of celebration. Hard to believe that one year ago I took the kids to Trafalgar Square to celebrate our heritage! We took the kids into the local town for the Canada Day parade and now we are home relaxing and debating on returning for the fireworks....depends on how relaxed we get and whether or not the weather decides to cooperate! Hope my fellow Canucks are having a great day...here's to the best country in the world!
