Can you believe how much I SUCK at this blogging thing??? Yeesh! To say my life is hectic is the biggest understatement, but still......
I've been caught up emotionally this week in the loss of a beautiful 9 year old girl by the name of Christi Thomas. Christi lost her battle with Neuroblastoma, a very aggressive cancer, that she has been battling for 4 years. I found this especially hard since I have a daughter only a few months younger than Christi and, like Christi, my daughter is a ballet dancer. I can only imagine how horrific it is to watch your child die and I spent a lot of time glancing at my darling daughter and wondering how I would deal...I'm sure I wouldn't and I have been so amazed at the grace the Thomas family has shown over the last few weeks. Truly inspirational and it puts all the petty crap that happens in every day life into perspective!
So, onwards and upwards with a renewed sense of how you should enjoy every minute of your life here on planet earth!
My kids are still wonderful and healthy and life is good for the most part. My Mom arrives in less that one month and I'm counting the days until I can hug her and tell her in person how much I love her. That's what it's all about!
